About me

My name is Carolyn Hamilton. I’ve been living in London for 12 years but am
originally from Durban, South Africa.

I’m an artworker but my true passion is cooking, eating out and food in general.
I’m obsessed with cook books and have had to force myself not to buy more.
It really is an addiction.

I love photography but I’m no photographer. Still learning as I go along.

I love my family and miss them all so much. My dream is that one day we’ll
all be living in the same country.

My friends here are a tight bunch. They’re my family away from home.
Not sure what I would do without them.

I’m married to Sheldon, who’s from the Bluff, and he’s the best thing that’s
ever happened to me. I have a feeling he might get featured a lot on this
blog. He has no choice in the matter really.

Below: My addiction. I’m sick.

Finally figured it out. You know as you get older it takes longer. That cheese cake looks divine. Think I will try it and your chicken pie.

OK, getting VERY side-tracked here with this wonderful blog my friend – time to fetch Fin, but just wanted you to know I’ve been perusing, and loving your blog. Love and miss you. Lx

Thanks for an amazing lunch last weekend, Caro. Nuts, pastry, chocolate and banana… the makings of my dream desert and your little tartlets didn’t disappoint! xxxx

Carolyn, I Iove your new blog. Have been checking in every day. It makes me want to be more ambitious with our currently very boring diet of Bolognese and fishfinger sarnies. Nice to see a blog that’s updated regularly, not like ours, every few weeks…what’s with the header though? I like this one but almost prefer the one you had originally. Or will you be treating us to a new header regularly? Also, as the queen of cookbooks, would you happen to have a blackberry jam recipe? We were given buckets full of blackberries by our neighbour yesterday and I’m looking for one that preserves for a long time. Had no luck online. x Hilke

Yes it is Nat. I just wish I could learn how to change that black banner – hate it. Want it changed to a nicer colour. Not that harsh black. Irra.

    Big love K
